The Rural Health Strategy 2023 sets a 10-year direction to improve health outcomes for rural communities in Aotearoa New Zealand by recognising their unique challenges and strengths, prioritising equitable access to care, prevention, and services closer to home, and supporting a flexible, well-resourced rural health workforce – all underpinned by Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
