Event Terms & Conditions
The Digital Health Association (DHA) and Health Informatics New Zealand (HiNZ), together with their related entities, business partners, and other external agencies (“we”, “our”, or “us”) are co-hosting the Digital Health Leadership Forum.
By registering for and attending this event, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
Event Participation
- Attendance is subject to capacity limits. We reserve the right to close registrations when capacity is reached.
- The event programme, speakers, and schedule are subject to change without notice.
- We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove any attendee who behaves in a manner that is disruptive, offensive, or in breach of these terms.
- Attendees are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully towards all participants, speakers, staff, and venue personnel.
- No refunds will be issued for non-attendance, late arrival, or removal due to breach of these terms.
Cancellation and Refunds
- Cancellations made more than 14 days before the event will receive a full refund.
- Cancellations made 7–14 days before the event will receive a 50% refund.
- No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 7 days before the event.
- Substitute attendees may be nominated at any time at no additional cost by contacting admin@dha.org.nz.
- In the unlikely event that we cancel the event, all registered attendees will receive a full refund.
Liability and Disclaimers
- Attendance at this event is at your own risk. The organisers accept no liability for any injury, loss, or damage to persons or property arising from attendance.
- You are responsible for your own belongings. The organisers are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged items.
- Content presented at the event is for informational purposes only and does not constitute professional advice.
Privacy Statement
Your personal information is being collected so that we can register your interest and participation in the event, and for the other purposes set out below. Personal information is defined in the Privacy Act 2020 (“Privacy Act”) as “information about an identifiable individual”.
In agreeing to these terms and submitting your registration, you authorise the release of, and use of, your personal information to and by our staff for all the purposes set out below.
Use of Information
The information we collect is used for the following purposes:
- To identify you as an attendee of the event.
- To communicate with you regarding event details, updates, and related opportunities.
- To provide you with a personalised experience during the event.
- For health, safety, and security purposes during the event.
- To contact you about future events and opportunities from DHA and HiNZ.
Information Sharing Between Co-Hosts
This event is co-hosted by DHA and HiNZ. Your registration information (including name, email, organisation, and job title) will be shared between both organisations for the purposes of event planning, communications, safety, and future event promotion.
Third Party Information Sharing
Event sponsors may receive a list of attendee names, job titles, and organisations only. Your email address and phone number will not be shared with sponsors without your explicit consent.
Use of Photographs and Videos
Photographs and videos taken during the event may be used for the following purposes:
- Promotional materials, both digital and print, related to the event.
- Social media posts and updates.
- Event recap communications and future event marketing.
- Annual reports and publications.
Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: To request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: To request correction of any inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion: To request deletion of your personal information.
- Objection: To object to the processing of your personal information for certain purposes.
- Opt-Out: To opt-out of receiving marketing communications from us at any time.
We take all reasonable steps to ensure that your personal information is safeguarded against loss, unauthorised access/disclosure, modification, and misuse in accordance with the Privacy Act.
