Medi-Map will have eScript 'Signature Exempt' status for Controlled Drug e-Scripts in New Zealand from 22 December. Prescribers creating CD e-Scripts in Medi-Map will no longer need to print and sign and Medi-Map automatically forwards these to the respective pharmacies. With Addiction Services, the OST e-Scripts can be forwarded to multiple pharmacies for a particular client, saving the clinics and prescribers time and cost.
This is a great milestone. Medi-Map have been advocating to reduce the administrative burden on prescribers and pharmacies and believe this will lead to significant time savings for everyone and ensures the prescriptions get to pharmacy in a timely manner (with no reliance on postal services!)
