The DHA Communities of Practice – Digital Interoperability, is held every two months.
Evolving from the Digital Interoperability Industry Group (DIIG), the Digital Interoperability CoP brings together industry experts providing digital interoperability enablers – core software and services essential to health IT systems including digital identity, security, privacy, standards, data governance, API releases, and foundational systems (NHI, HPI).
Working collaboratively with government and non-government groups, the CoP provides leadership and strategic guidance to New Zealand’s Health and Disability Sector while advocating for mature, stable, secure solutions and supporting standards development.
WHAT WE ARE COVERING:
Shared Digital Health Record – where things are at
Patrick Hindmarsh, SDHR Programme Manager, and Heath Tolley, Digital Enablers and Integration Portfolio Lead, at Health New Zealand will share progress on collecting primary care data and the work underway with IT providers to make SDHR information available to authorised clinical users through their products and services.
Information sharing requirements – what you need to do
This session will also walk through the updated requirements for accessing Health NZ APIs through the Digital Services Hub, including the information sharing risk assessment, and the legal agreements that need to be in place. For health service providers, the team will cover subcontractor requirements and how IT vendors can support their customers to meet the requirements.
If you work with health system infrastructure, this is a session to prioritise. Come with your questions.
