For you to get the most out of using our website, Digital Health Association NZ Incorporated (“we” or “us”) needs to collect some personal information about you. We will protect your personal information, and will only collect, use, store, and share it in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020.

  • Any information you share in the forms you submit on our website.
  • Aggregated, anonymous information about visitors to our website including information that may be collected through the use of cookies (see our cookies policy).

How we use your information

The personal information we collect from you via our website will be used to provide you with the services you have asked us for. We may use anonymous and aggregated information that we collect about visitors to our website so that we can analyse, evaluate, and improve the website.

Will my information be shared with anyone else?

We may share the personal information that we collect about you as follows:

  • We may provide it to employees, contractors, agents and advisers so that they can assist us in providing the services to you or in the operation of our business.
  • Either in an anonymised form or on the basis that it will be anonymised with third parties so that they may improve any product or service that they are providing to us.
  • With public sector health agencies and other organisations and individuals that have an interest in our organisation.
  • As otherwise permitted by the Privacy Act 2020 and where applicable.

We take your privacy seriously and will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your personal information is stored in a secure environment and protected from unauthorised access, use, modification or disclosure.

We will only hold your personal information as long as it is required for the purposes for which it has been collected, any other purpose you have authorised us to use the information for, and/or any directly related purpose.

Exercising your privacy rights and complaints

You can ask us to provide you with a copy of the information we hold about you and request corrections to it. If we have a good reason for refusing a request for correction, you are entitled to ask that a statement be attached to the information that the correction that was requested was not made.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies to provide essential functionality and, where configured, to help us understand how visitors use the site. We do not use any marketing or advertising cookies.

Essential cookies

  • authjs.session-token— maintains your logged-in session. Required for member portal access.
  • authjs.csrf-token— protects against cross-site request forgery. Required for secure form submissions.

Analytics cookies

When Google Analytics (GA4) is configured, the following cookies may be set:

  • _ga— distinguishes unique visitors. Expires after 2 years.
  • _gid— distinguishes unique visitors. Expires after 24 hours.

These cookies are only present if GA4 is active. The data collected is aggregated and anonymous.

Payment cookies

When you make a payment (e.g. membership or event registration), Stripe may set cookies during the checkout process to enable secure payment processing. These are controlled by Stripe and governed by their privacy policy.
