TUANZ became an affiliated member of the Tech Alliance earlier this year and as a member they provide a FREE programme, FLINT (Future Leaders in Tech), designed for those in the early stages of their career interested in digital technologies.
FLINT provides the opportunity to network, learn and grow to succeed in the world of digital technology through regular events, webinars, podcasts and social catch-ups.
The programme is run by regional FLINT teams in Auckland, Waikato, Wellington and Christchurch. Participants work in all types of industries and are interested in learning more about this digital future.
For more information, visit the TUANZ website or view flyer here. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to [email protected]. Participants in the programme do not need to be members of TUANZ.
TUANZ have two in person FLINT member events coming up in Auckland (23 November) and Christchurch (29 November) so there’s enough time for those interested to join the programme and come along!
Here’s what past participants have to say about FLINT:
“After attending FLINT and TUANZ events during my time as a graduate with Vodafone New Zealand, I realised the value of these sessions both in increasing my knowledge of the NZ tech and telco industry, and to provide an opportunity to network. The FLINT events, in particular, helped me to foster connections with other young professionals in similar industries and careers to myself. When the opportunity arose to join the lead team for FLINT Wellington, I enthusiastically said yes and in the last few years being a part of this committee has enabled me to grow my organising skills, to learn how to be an effective Chair, and to feel a sense of fulfilment by bringing these experiences to others as well!” Zoe Udy, Solution Architect, Te Whatu Ora.
“I had the joy of being on the FLINT leadership team in Auckland from 2016 to 2019. I can say that hands down this team has provided me some of the best leadership exposure in my career. The trust that TUANZ has in its FLINT leaders is super empowering and the organisation creates a trusted and fun place for young people from different industries to get together, share innovative ideas and then execute them as a team. The cross industry knowledge that is shared, the team work and the leadership skills that I got to learn is priceless. I will forever be an advocate of TUANZ and FLINT.” Saba Samiei, Founder and CEO at Comfort.AI, and MASCO.
