The HealthTech Activator (HTA), developed by Callaghan Innovation and the Consortium for Medical Device Technologies (CMDT) with support from the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE), is a dedicated initiative designed to empower New Zealand healthtech businesses. HTA provides streamlined access to funding, connectivity, and capability-building programmes to support innovators and early-stage businesses in the health technology sector. Aligned with the Ministry of Health's New Zealand Health Research Strategy 2017–2027, the HTA fosters transformative and innovative solutions that advance the health sector. By offering a comprehensive suite of resources and services, HTA aims to accelerate the success of healthtech businesses and contribute to improved healthcare outcomes across Aotearoa New Zealand.
