James joins the Digital Health Association (DHA) with a diverse range of skills and experience. With a background in the education sector that includes leadership and development, social services, and environmental management as well as practical experience in the IT industry, James will be able to straddle across all aspects of the work the DHA delivers. With a solid customer service focus, James’ goal is to ultimately contribute to helping achieve a stronger more resilient health system connected through digital health, enabling equity of access to healthcare for New Zealanders.
Throughout his career, James has had a passion for improving outcomes and for improving social equity.
James has a Master of Policy from Massey University with a focus on resilience and organisational change.
James is married with three children and lives in the seaside suburbs of the Bay of Plenty. He is an avid Star Wars and Marvel fan who enjoys reading and making some fine homemade ales.
