The Board of Pegasus Health Charitable has appointed Mark Liddle as its new CEO – February, 28th
Mr Liddle has been acting in the CEO role since March last year.
“The appointment follows a process by the Board to appoint a chief executive with the right mix of skills to navigate a strong path forward, as we move through the health reforms,” Board Chair Peter Townsend said. “We are pleased to have appointed from within Pegasus as it shows the strength of leadership we have within the organisation.”
“Mark’s leadership skills are outstanding and he is the right person to ensure a strong position for Pegasus in the health sector.”
“Mark has had a positive impact on Pegasus, in both the role as chief operating officer and in the role as acting chief executive. The Board looks forward to working with him as we focus on improving the health of people who live in Canterbury, and making Canterbury the best place to provide and receive primary care,” he said.
“Pegasus has a strong future. We provide quality care to the Canterbury community and excellent services to our members. I am supported by a strong leadership team and dedicated high performing staff. Together, I believe we can continue to make a positive difference to the health of the community and to strengthen the role of primary care in underpinning the health system,” Mr Liddle said.
