Digital Services Hub coming in June
In the Hira Programme, work is underway on the Health New Zealand Digital Services Hub, which is the next iteration of the Hira Marketplace. The Digital Services Hub will provide a broader range of services than are currently available on Marketplace, including a developer portal with application programming interface (API) testing capabilities and identity and access protections. It will progressively become a one-stop-shop for digital services suppliers, health professionals and innovators to find and leverage quality APIs and digital services that enable secure access to health data.
The hub will help enable the development of patient apps to support New Zealanders to access and manage their own health information and share it with people they trust.
The Digital Services Hub will replace Marketplace in June 2024. Until then, access and onboarding processes for APIs and data services on the current Marketplace will remain the same.
