Te Aka Whai Ora are inviting a suitably qualified Hauora Māori partner or collaborative of partners to develop a new and innovative digital/virtual service and ways to respond to Gambling harm to address inequities and destigmatisation through the use of digital and virtual tools and resources to support self-assessment, wellbeing and resiliency.
This will require the development of a comprehensive service that:
Establishes a kaupapa Māori nationally accessible digital/virtual Gambling harm prevention and minimisation service designed for Māori.
May develop or support and promote a web-based application that works on a wide range of devices where whānau have access to self-assessment tools, wellbeing and resiliency tools and access to 24-hour support when experiencing gambling harm or the impacts of Gambling harm.
Will provide direct services to whānau and link them to existing services where appropriate.
Provides a promotion campaign of the digital Gambling harm service.
The funding made available for this kaupapa is for a total of $1,354,000 from 1 January 2024 – 31 December 2025.
