About the Webinar
Eating disorders affect around 8% of the global population, impacting individuals and their communities across diverse backgrounds. This webinar, hosted by eMHIC and the Consortium for Research in Eating Disorders (CoRe-ED), explores the potential of digital technologies in supporting those affected.
Our expert panel will discuss strategies for implementing effective digital solutions, scalable interventions, and the opportunities and challenges of integrating digital tools into eating disorder care from various perspectives, including lived experience and international health initiatives.
Key Discussion Points:
- Co-designing digital health tools with people with a lived eating disorder experience as well as other key stakeholders is crucial.
- Reaching and engaging with people who will benefit from eating disorder digital health tools remains a substantial challenge.
- Evaluations of digital health tools in eating disorders need to be multifaceted and adaptable.
- There are more considerations to be taken into account in eating disorder digital tool development, particularly neurodivergence status of the users. No one tool will suit all.
- There are great opportunities for digital health integration in eating disorder support.
