The Emerging Personalised Healthcare Industry Group (EPHIG) is held from 11.00am to 12.00pm, on the first Thursday of every second month.

The EPHIG covers digital health that relates to AI and LLM, Big Data, genomics, virtual, personalised medicine, and remote healthcare.

The group is co-chaired by Brendan Swan, Personalised Healthcare Squad Lead, Roche and Steven Dodd, New Zealand Genomic Solutions & BioSciences Sales Manager, Thermofisher

1. The Āhuru Mōwai Hospital in the Home (HitH)

Speaker: Erik McClain – Clinical Lead for Tairāwhiti HitH programme

The Tairāwhiti Hospital-in-the-Home (HitH) program utilizes remote patient monitoring to provide virtual hospital beds in the Tairāwhiti region. This initiative, spearheaded by Health New Zealand Te Whatu Ora Tairāwhiti (Gisborne), employs the Propell+Persona vital sign monitoring solution. The technology allows for the real-time tracking of various health indicators, including heart rate, oxygen saturation, temperature, weight, blood sugar levels, and blood pressure, enabling care to be delivered virtually.
