Expressions of Interest: Co-Chair the Digital Mental Health Interest Group (DMHIG)
Are you passionate about driving transformative change in digital mental health and addictions care? Do you believe in the power of collaboration to shape better mental health outcomes for Aotearoa? The Digital Health Association (DHA) is offering an exciting opportunity for one of our members to co-chair our Digital Mental Health Interest Group (DMHIG) – previously known as the Digital Wellbeing Interest Group (DWIG).
This voluntary role offers the chance to play a leading part in a group that has been at the forefront of advocacy and innovation, culminating in incredible milestones such as Ministerial engagement and the inaugural Digital Mental Health Summit in December 2024.
About the DMHIG
The DMHIG unites DHA members, including healthcare providers and digital health partners, who are committed to advancing digital mental health and addiction services in Aotearoa. Over the past four years, this group has worked tirelessly to:

Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including Minister Matt Doocey and senior health leaders.

Advocate for digital mental health solutions, leading to the Digital Mental Health Summit, which set the stage for exploring an end-to-end coordinated care pathway using digital tools.
The DMHIG embodies the power of persistence, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing to create meaningful and lasting impact in the sector.

Be at the forefront of change: Lead efforts to develop a coordinated digital mental health service and advocate for the integration of digital solutions into care pathways.

Collaborate with key stakeholders: You will have the chance to engage directly with policymakers, healthcare providers, and digital health innovators across Aotearoa.

Influence the national agenda: Work alongside DHA and its members to shape policies and initiatives that drive meaningful progress in digital mental health.

Role details

This is a voluntary role, open exclusively to DHA members.

DMHIG meets virtually every two months on the first Thursday, starting March 2025, at 11 am (subject to change in 2025).
