The Opportunity
We are now looking for a permanent Chief Executive to take on a leadership role at a time of significant change within the digital health sector. The Chief Executive will provide strong leadership for the management team, work with the Board to set strategy, lead engagement with key stakeholders and ensure the financial sustainability of the organisation.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record as an effective senior leader, with good commercial acumen and a real desire to improve the health and wellbeing of New Zealanders.

Experience required

• Senior management experience managing people, resources and budgets.
• Results driven with senior experience in sales/business development and marketing.
• Ability to lead and manage complex projects, both at a strategic and operational level.
• Be prepared to be hands on given the significant outputs of a small, hardworking team.
• Experience in event management and media sales/publishing is highly desirable.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a wide range of people, and experience with senior stakeholder management.
• Knowledgeable about and alignment with the principals of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
• Knowledge of digital health and the New Zealand health system would be advantageous.
• You must live in New Zealand and be a citizen or permanent resident.

This is a full-time role. The salary would depend on your experience level, career history and what skills you bring to the role. HiNZ has a virtual office, however most of the team are based in Auckland, so it would be advantageous if you were based in Auckland, but it isn’t a requirement.
